I will be working as a Disciple-Making Strategist serving to re-mobilize the Church for mission.

A Disciple-Making Strategist, what does that really mean? Very simply, I (Andrew) will be helping Christians, who have a sense that there’s got to be more, live in the fullness of what God has for them so that new disciples of Jesus are made. I will be working with both churches and individual Christians. We believe that every believer is called to be a disciple who makes disciples right where they are! 

Churches

Our team comes alongside existing churches to help the members of the church become missionaries to their community. We serve as a cultural change-agent helping churches move from being church-centered to mission-centered.

We do this by walking with churches through a program called the “Missional Pathway” and providing coaching and support for the pastors and leaders along the way.

Individuals

Whether you are part of an existing church or not, we can help! We take Christians who have a desire for something “more” and help them live in the fullness of what God has for them so that new disciples of Jesus are made.

We do this by walking with these individuals through a three-part process called ACTIVATE(D). This process does three things: First, it helps individuals find clarity on God’s calling for their life. Secondly, we help Christians build community that is centered on making new disciples of Jesus. And thirdly, we provide continued resourcing and support for those communities as they continue to make new disciples of Jesus.

To all of our friends in Ventura County, part of my (Andrew) role at NOVO will be focused on what God is doing locally in Ventura County. So what does that mean, really?

For those who live in Ventura County, our desire is to walk with Christians to help them understand God’s call on their lives, build community of people who share the same passion and purpose of making new disciples, and provide support and resources to them as they do what God has called them to do. NOVO

This is the Missions Organization we are working with.

Novo is a band of creative missionaries sent to multiply movements of the gospel and mobilize the church for that mission around the world.

ChurchNEXT

There are three major Collectives (or departments) within NOVO and ChurchNEXT is the collective we are working with.

ChurchNEXT teams mobilize existing churches to live on mission, pioneer new expressions of church, and address the soul and sustainability of leaders at the center of it all. ChurchNEXT is called beyond the familiar to shape the Church and Her leaders to reach the world of tomorrow.

ReFocusing

Within ChurchNEXT there are many teams. ReFocusing is the team we are a part of.

Refocusing believes in the Church, even if society doesn’t. In a culture that proclaims that the church is dying, we have hope. Because we believe that God has placed his calling on the lives of pastors and church leaders to lead the church beyond its walls and impact the community in undeniably powerful ways.

Missional Pathway

Ativate(d)

ACTIVATE(D) is a three step process that will walk with people as they discover their calling, find their community, and live on mission.

ACTIVATE(D) is a collaborative network of mobilized followers of Jesus from around the country who are committed to making new disciples of Jesus! They are supported and coached to effectively launch and live into new strategic disciple-making initiatives and relationships.

NEXTGEN

Many Christian leaders wonder whether or not the Church has lost the next generation. Many younger believers and pre-believers in America live with unrealized dreams and agonizing fears, failing to see the relevancy of a robust faith.

That’s why we prepare the next generation of leaders for churches, ministries beyond the church, and in faith-integrated careers. Our network of motivated and skilled adults regularly connect with the vision, leadership, and resources to significantly impact the next generation for Jesus.
